Yes, you can straighten your hair without a straightening iron. After washing, apply an anti frizz or straightening serum. Simply blow dry while continuously brushing hair straight. Even when you think your hair is dry, keep on drying. I used to stop when it was dry and wonder what was wrong. The key is to keep on drying your hair and keep brushing. It will look frizzy at first, but then it will start to flatten out and get straight...your hair dryer will act as a flattening iron because of the constant heat and brushing! Dry winter hair blues? I have long hair, and as we all know, winter is so hard on it. Be sure to deep condition it once a week. After washing, apply a deep conditioner (cholesterol makes a great deep conditioner...it's usually packaged in a little tub, ask for it wherever you get your usual hair products if you can't find it). Wrap hair in a plastic bag. If you have time, blow dry for 10 min., or just leave hair wrapped up for 1/2 hour, then rinse. Apply a leave in conditioner as well before styling.
